IMDS Plus ニュース
2025.1.31
Welcome to our new Service Suite "IMDS Plus"!
The first of these new services IMDS Connect will go live tomorrow, 1st February 2025. IMDS Connect provides all the capabilities of the IMDS Advanced Interface.
At the same time, the IMDS Advanced Interface Service will be deprecated on February 1, 2025.
All IMDS Advanced Interface contracts started before February 1, 2025, will run until their end. Once all IMDS Advanced Interface contracts end or run out, the IMDS Advanced Interface service will reach its End of Life.
Below, we are answering the most important questions, if you have questions beyond those answered here, please contact mds-solutions@dxc.com.
How does this impact my IMDS Advanced Interface contract?
As of February 1, 2025, you will no longer be able to order IMDS Advanced Interface, but only IMDS Connect. Current IMDS Advanced Interface contracts will not be impacted and can be used as ordered.
Will my existing connected software require revision to work with IMDS Connect?
No, IMDS Connect will use the same files that IMDS Advanced Interface is currently providing, and current IMDS-AI users will be relabelled to IMDS Connect users, who will be able to log-in and interact with IMDS as before. Therefore, there is no need for adjustments when changing from IMDS Advanced Interface to IMDS Connect.
What is the difference between IMDS Advanced Interface and IMDS Connect?
The IMDS Advanced Interface was originally intended for Upload and Download files only. In the meantime, other connections have been added to IMDS, which have been available only when you ordered IMDS Advanced Interface. IMDS Connect will be the new name of our services which help you connect IMDS to other systems over different interfaces. Its business model will reflect the different usages that have been added during the years.
How will the Business Model be changed?
As the IMDS Advanced Interface was intended mainly for suppliers to upload their data into IMDS, only uploads were counted.
Besides the upload of MDSs, IMDS Connect also provides download files for received MDSs, and other interfaces (e.g. the CAMDS interface) can be used to transfer IMDS data into other systems. Therefore, the IMDS Connect tariffs will not only count uploads and imports, but also accepted MDSs that are exported from IMDS.
Will IMDS Connect be more expensive?
There will be a price adjustment. IMDS Advanced Interface prices have been static for many years, so even without this change price adjustments would have been applied.
The IMDS Connect business model is based on the tariffs of IMDS Advanced Interface. For the accepted MDSs we will use the same thresholds we had for uploads. We have performed analyses and found that most companies will remain with their current license type. The business model change will only impact very few companies which accept far more MDSs than they upload to IMDS.
