On March 7th 2011, Volvo Car Corporation will switch from Ford Motor Company GSDB supplier codes to VCC Partner supplier codes in IMDS.

All VCC suppliers must be members of the VCC supplier database, Parma. A company has a 5-digit parent code and different locations within a company have 5-digit site codes. The site codes are Clone & Go from Ford GSDB site codes. The parent codes are new (Ford parent codes are 4-digit codes). For small companies, the site and the parent Partner code may be the same.

If a datasheet is valid for all sites within your company you only have to enter the parent code. However, if a datasheet is only valid for a single site within your company, you should also enter the site code.

If you do not know your VCC Partner parent/site code, you can obtain it from your VCC buyer.

Volvo Car Corporation hat für die Überprüfung der empfangenen MDB einen externen Vertragspartner beauftragt. Von jetzt an werden Datenblätter, die an VCC geschickt werden, durch ein Team der Firma I-ntrinsic geprüft.

VCCs IMDS-Büro ist weiterhin für VCCs allgemeine IMDS-Anforderungen und andere IMDS-Belange zuständig.
