The IMDS Connect service fees are structured into different tariffs. Your company can select the tariff which best fits to the amount of MDSs that you think will be imported to IMDS and/or accepted in the coming year. If you wish assistance in determining your tariff, please email mds-solutions@dxc.com and they can generate a report of your IMDS usage in the previous year.

The IMDS Connect license is a company license with reference to an IMDS Company ID. In the higher tariffs a to c, more than one IMDS Company ID can be combined in one IMDS Connect license (corporate license) on request. This is conditional to the documented evidence that the IMDS Company IDs to be included belong to the same legal company structure. The level f package in the table below is only available as an add-on to a level a-e package. It only includes up to 1,000 additional modules to an existing contract of level a-e.

The license cost is based on the number of successfully imported MDSs or modules to the IMDS, as well as accepted MDSs. MDSs and/or module imports leading to an error message are not counted for this purpose. For each newly created MDS or module and the creation of a new version of an already existing MDS or module, the counter of available imports (set by the contract value) is decremented by one. Furthermore, changes in Chapter 1 "Ingredients" in existing MDSs/modules are counted. For each acceptance of MDSs, independent whether you accept in IMDS or via IMDS Connect’s Status Upload, the counter of available accepted MDSs is decremented by one. However, releasing, rejecting or deleting MDS is free of charge, as is the processing of any other kind of IMDS data. 
 

IMDS Connect initial and period files

When you start with IMDS Connect, DXC will provide one initial file, with all the data previously created and received in IMDS. The first initial file is free of charge. The generation of daily download files is part of the service and also free of charge. The daily files are available up to 30 days.

If you realize later that data is missing in your external system, DXC can also generate files for single days, a period of days or even another initial file. The generation of period and initial files will be charged based on the number of MDSs and modules in the file. Creation of non-consecutive daily, period, or initial files with less than 2,000 MDSs/modules total will be created as a complementary service for our clients. Requests for more than four (4) replacement file sets will incur charges, even for quantities below 2,000. 

Add-on service “Multiple Time Zone Download”

DXC offers the “Multiple Time Zone Download” as add-on service. It allows you to download company specific MDS information up to 3 times a day - every eight hours with latest MDSs based on the selected time zones. This optional service can be ordered in addition to your IMDS Connect license for an annual fee of 3,465 EUR independently from your tariff. If you want to purchase this service as an add-on to an existing IMDS Connect license, the duration and price of the add-on service will be adjusted to match the end-date of the existing license. The following examples provide further explanation as to how the IMDS Connect licensing works.

Example a)

Over the past years, IMDS Company X had annual upload volumes between 3,150 and 3,870 modules and has accepted between 2,780 and 3,190 MDS. The IMDS Company X estimates that during the next contract year, their need will be slightly more and buys one package from tariff "d" with 2,000 - 5,000 modules. IMDS Company X pays 9,700 EUR for the contract duration from June 15th, 2025 to June 14th, 2026. Until June 14th, 2026 they upload 4,380 modules and accepted 3,350 MDSs. The remaining available volume expires at midnight June 14, 2026.

Example b)

Over the past years, IMDS Company Y had annual upload volumes between 4,120 and 4,950 modules and accepted 4,270 and 4,780 MDSs. IMDS Company Y estimates that during the next contract year, they will have a decreasing requirement and buys one package from tariff "d" with 2,000 - 5,000 modules. IMDS Company Y pays 9,700 EUR for the contract duration from June 15th, 2025 to June 14th, 2026. By February 15th, 2026 they upload 4,760 modules, and, contrary to the first estimation, they are now expecting an annual upload volume of more than 6,000 modules. Therefore, they buy an additional package from tariff "e" with up to 2,000 modules for EUR 6,065. Now the upper limit is 7,000 modules. At the end of the contract year, IMDS Company Y has uploaded 6,720 modules. The remaining available volume expires at midnight June 14, 2026.
