The company ZF Lenksysteme GmbH will list all of its locations under Company ID 296 from the following week onwards. The following document contains the new Org.-IDs of ZF Lenksysteme GmbH, which are valid from 12th November 2012:

screen printing ink (cured) (ID 9448512)

Existing references on released MDSs to this material will not receive error/warning messages. However, they will no longer be available in the search results for new references.

On 14th September 2012, the latest GADSL update will be implemented in IMDS incorporating the following changes to the IMDS basic substance list:

The check for confidential substances now being part of the GADSL will be carried out centrally on 15th September 2012. This means that all notifications to the Company Administrators will be sent out immediately after this check.

On 28th June 2012, the latest GADSL update will be implemented in IMDS incorporating the following changes to the IMDS basic substance list:

Additionally, the substance with CAS-Nr. 13463-30-4 is added to the application-relevant substances.

Please note that Internet Explorer 6 is no longer a supported browser in IMDS.

Internet Explorer 6 was taken out of support, due to the age of the browser and a known error with huge amounts of data, which makes it impossible to load huge MDS Trees in IMDS.

If you are still using Internet Explorer 6, we highly recommend to update to a newer browser.

On 2nd August 2012 an updated version of the IMDS Recommendation IMDS001 will enter into force. You find it in the IMDS application under the menu Recommendations. This document is only for your information - the current Recommendation IMDS001 will remain valid up to the above mentioned date.

Like some other IMDS car manufacturers, Scania has decided to check the following IMDS recipient specific fields: Part Number, Supplier Code and Drawing Change Level (containing Scania's ECO, Engineering Change Order). This check is planned to get productive May 24th, 2012. More details are available under FAQ.

We are glad to announce that Tata Motors has joined the IMDS (company ID 90096).

Tata Motors becomes the first Indian auto manufacturer to join IMDS. A robust understanding of supplier material declarations are necessary to meet automotive compliance requirements such as End-of-Life, RRR and REACh. Tata Motors takes these requirements very seriously and the adoption of the global standard of IMDS is essential in managing these for future and current products.

The application code "Electrical components which contain lead in a glass or ceramic matrix compound except glass in bulbs and glaze of spark plugs" will be hidden on January 31st, 2012 as announced end of June 2011. From 1st February 2012 the ApplicationID is not available anymore for new MDSs but remains valid in already existing MDSs.
